Disability, Discrimination & DEIJ Statement

The Global Coaches Coalition believes that diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice are essential to our mission’s success and our community’s growth. We are committed to fostering a culture of respect, inclusivity, and belonging for all individuals, regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, ability, or any other personal characteristic.

We recognize that diversity has power and brings unique perspectives, skills, and experiences to the table. We believe that by creating a diverse and inclusive environment, we can inspire individuals to reach their full potential and positively impact the world.

We are dedicated to continuously educating ourselves and taking action to address systemic issues of bias and inequality within our organization and the coaching industry as a whole. We stand in solidarity with marginalized communities and strive to be active allies in the fight for justice and equality.

It is the policy of the Global Coaches Coalition that:

  • Recruitment and hiring procedures do not discriminate against individuals based on their race, age, religion, color, creed, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, disability, or veteran status.
  • All personnel are expected to treat employees and participants equally, and not discriminate against them based on their race, age, religion, color, creed, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, disability, or veteran status.
  • Our organization welcomes individuals from all backgrounds to participate, irrespective of their race, age, religion, color, creed, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, disability, or veteran status.
  • Our workplace, learning environment, and all other activities should be free from discrimination and harassment. This includes any form of discrimination or harassment based on race, age, religion, color, creed, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, disability, or veteran status. Our organization has a zero-tolerance policy for any behavior that unreasonably interferes with an individual’s ability to learn or work in a safe and welcoming environment, regardless of the status or position of the individual engaging in such behavior. This policy applies to all employees, students, volunteers, contractors, visitors, and vendors.

Participants who wish to report discrimination are encouraged to follow the grievance policy outlined on this page. The Global Coaches Coalition will promptly investigate all claims and reports of inappropriate conduct.

Grievance Policy

Purpose

This Grievance Policy outlines the procedures for members to address complaints or concerns related to their membership and the website’s services. Our goal is to provide a fair and efficient process for resolving disputes and maintaining a positive member experience.

Scope

This policy applies to all members of the Global Coaches Coalition and coachcoalition.org.

Grievance Definition

A grievance is any complaint or dissatisfaction expressed by a member regarding the website’s services, content, or membership terms.

Grievance Procedure

  1. Informal Resolution: Members should initially attempt to resolve any issues by contacting our customer support team (service@coachcoalition.org). Our customer support team will strive to address concerns promptly and effectively.
  2. Formal Grievance: If the issue remains unresolved after contacting customer support, members may submit a formal grievance in writing to (grievanceteam@coachcoalition.org). The grievance should include:
    • Member’s name and contact information
    • Membership account details
    • Clear and concise description of the issue
    • Desired resolution
  3. Investigation: Upon receipt of a formal grievance, our team will initiate an investigation. This may involve contacting the member for additional information.
  4. Response: The member will receive a response to the grievance within seven (7) business days of its submission. The response will outline the findings of the investigation and the actions taken to address the issue.
  5. Appeal: If the member is dissatisfied with the response, they may continue communication with our grievance team by simply replying to the response, or submit a written appeal to our business address within seven (7) days of receiving the team’s initial response. A writtien response should be postmarked within seven days.
  6. Final Decision: The final decision on the grievance will be made by our team and communicated to the member.
Membership Agreement

Upon joining the Global Coaches Coalition (GCC), members agree to uphold the following standards of conduct:

  • To refrain from any attempts to sell products or services to other members. The coalition is a space for mutual growth, not promotion.  We won’t use the platform to sell things to you, don’t you try and use it to sell to anyone here.
  • To refrain from sending mass messages or spam to other members. Communication should be relevant to the individual, an individual connection should be made, and all communication must be in the spirit of community standards.
  • To interact with integrity and thoughtful consideration. No trolling, insults, discrimination, or verbal abuse will be tolerated. Keep profanity to a bare minimum. Keep your communication safe and inclusive as possible. Mis-steps may happen, which will be met with grace from our end as well, but know this…we have no tolerance for hate-speech here.
  • To respect member privacy and never share member contact information or personal information. To never share another member’s stories, wins, or struggles, without express written permission from the member. Keep privacy at the forefront of our community just as we do the privacy of our coaching clients.
  • To practice kindness, compassion, encouragement and support in all exchanges. We aim to elevate one another. Together we are better.
  • To protect yourself! Be wise and responsible with your exposure. Don’t ever give personal information to other members, send money, or engage in business without doing your due diligence. Don’t give your home address, phone number, or any other personal information without judging the risk to your well-being, safety, privacy, or unintended consequences.
  • To respect differences of opinion and if you choose to engage, engage with grace and respect. To exercise restraint and good judgement, keeping the best interests of the community in mind in all situations.
  • To act with professionalism, honesty, and accountability in upholding these standards. Honesty is a central tenant of coaching and it is essential between coaches in the same way it is essential between coach and client. No one is perfect, of course, but bring your best to the table!

By joining GCC, members affirm their commitment to these principles of mutual trust, respect, and community spirit. Violation may result in removal from the coalition, a forfeiture of all funds paid, and revocation of all membership rights and resources. We believe that coaching is a noble profession and our conduct should reflect that. Together, we can change coaching for the better, by building strong support systems between coaches, across cultures, and around the world.

Transfer/Sharing Policy

Memberships are non-transferable. A single membership account is not to be shared with other individuals. Any violation of this policy will be met with the termination of the Member’s account and a halt to the monthly billing of the account.
